Abstract
The Delhi High Court passed a judgment on the issue of jurisdiction in which Jan Chetna is also one of the Petitioners. This case was filed challenging the order of National Environment Appellate Authority (NEAA) and also order of Ministry of Environment & Forest (MoEF) granting Environmental to Integrated Steel Plant, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh before Delhi High Court. Chief Justice Deepak Mishra while hearing the Petition asked how this case is filed in Delhi High Court when the project is in Chhattisgarh. After explaining also that NEAA is an Authority which decided the Appeal and MoEF who has passed the judgment is based in Delhi, he was not convinced. He referred the matter to larger bench and tagged with other matters that bench was hearing on jurisdiction.
