Farai Mushoriwa versus City of Harare

The applicant had received what he calls an overcharged water bill from the respondent, and without any notice the staff from the respondent closed his access to water. The applicant filed an urgent interdict to court coupled with a spoliation order stating that the termination of access to water because of a disputed water bill without a court order was unlawful. The judge ordered the respondent to open the applicants’ water supply until the dispute relating to the water bills was settled.
